Illuminated by Franco dei Russi. The original volume is part of a series of choir-books commissioned by Cardinal Bessarion (+ 1472; his arms on MS. 99) for the benefit of the Franciscan Convent of Constantinople, and eventually yielded to Borso d'Este, Duke of Ferrara, after the Turkish Conquest (1453)
