Vellum. Two loose leaves, 58.1 x 41.5 cm, each with an historiated initial (Isaac and Esau, MS. 98; David, MS. 99); coat of arms on MS. 99 (initial leaf of the volume). Musical notation on four-line staves

Illuminated by Franco dei Russi. The original volume is part of a series of choir-books commissioned by Cardinal Bessarion (+ 1472; his arms on MS. 99) for the benefit of the Franciscan Convent of Constantinople, and eventually yielded to Borso d'Este, Duke of Ferrara, after the Turkish Conquest (1453)
